Dr. Stanciu earned her Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. She then completed her residency in ophthalmology, where she built a strong foundation in the medical and surgical care of the eye.

Dr. Stanciu completed her medical retina fellowship at Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital in New York under the guidance of renowned retinal specialist Dr. Lawrence A. Yannuzzi. She comes from five generations of physicians and speaks six languages: English, Spanish, Romanian, Italian, Armenian, and more. Outside the practice, she treasures time with her family and loves to travel. She is also a painter and a writer, and she stays active with tennis.
